I'm trying to install/run ikonboard but its displaying the source of the CGI script, i read the FAQ and followed the instructions there but it is still producing the same thing. Is there any other way to sort this out or an extension change or whatever?? |

To change extensions on XP... Open explorer > tools > folder options > view tab > uncheck hide extenstions for known file types...
Aint trying to change your mind but have you checked out phpBB2? Its an awesome board script which you can find out more about it http://www.phpBB.com
I think its one of the nicest and this board is powered by it... _________________ Victor B. Gonzalez

hehe i had this problem too. try doing what i did. do this:
go to the Abyss console and put in you username and password
then go to Server Configuration, then click the Advanced button, then go to CGI Paremters. You will see 3 tables there now. On CGI Interpreters click the Add buton. Now for the Interpreter type in the root to your perl.exe mine is C:/Perl/bin/perl.exe but it might change for you, Then in the Associated Extensions put in cgi and pl just type them in like that without the and. like this:
cgi pl
then click ok.
now for the 2nd table which is CGI Paths just click add and just put a / there thats all. now click ok and then click restart at the top of the screen to restart your server. Also to view these as the program and not the scripts you have to go threw your server to get them like this
http://yourip:80/cgi-bin/installer.cgi
and that should do it. |
