Hi,
I formatted my PC few days ago.
And I reinstalled abyss and made perl work. But i don't see any cgi-bin folder in host root .
I created it myself and tried to access "127.0.0.1/cgi-bin".
But it errors 404.
Can someone help me? |

asukamomoko,
Either create it in the htdocs folder or create an alias. _________________ Support Team

This needs to be addded to the FAQ. Too many topics on this.
Q: I don't have a cgi-bin folder?
A: Abyss Web Server no longer requires a "cgi-bin" folder because of its
unique Patterns system. You can however, create one.
To create a cgi-bin, create a new folder in your Abyss Web Server program
folder called "cgi-bin". Open your Console and click on the Host you wish to
configure. Go to Aliases and add a new Alias for:
Virtual Path: /cgi-bin
Real Path: cgi-bin
Note: You can put the "cgi-bin" folder in your htdocs instead but I think it
would be best to keep things nicely organized.
Click OK to apply the settings, and go to "Scripting Parameters", add a new
script path for "/cgi-bin", and restart "Abyss Abyss Server". You're Done! |

This is exactly what I was seeking. I followed the directions, created the famous hello.pl script as a test and it worked the first time.
Thank you. |
