|
|
Hi all.
I have an Abyss x2 install running on a Mac Mini with OSX 10.6.8. Haven't had any problems at all with it (to speak of, anyway).
Now I want to update the server to OSX 10.8.5. I obtain another Mac Mini, install 10.8.5 on it, and use Migration Assistant to migrate my apps and user accounts from the old Mac to the new one.
In my test environment, Abyss (and the other migrated apps) launch fine. However, I cannot access the Abyss console via 'http://127.0.0.1:9999' on the new machine...Abyss keeps throwing up a 403 'Forbidden' error.
I have absolutely no idea why it's doing this. I can perform other functions using the loopback address without problem. The original copy of Abyss that was migrated to the new computer is definitely configured to allow access from the loopback address, and it works fine on the old computer.
As a test, I tried removing the existing Abyss install and doing a new install from scratch. Still get the 403 error.
Also tried deleting the Abyss preference file in the /Library folder of the account being used on the new Mac...no difference.
Firewalls are all turned off. Whether it's connected to my test environment network, or the computer is totally disconnected from any network, makes no difference.
Any ideas what might be causing this? |

I have the same problem. Everything works on Snow Leopard, but get error 403 for the console and some web sites on Mountain Lion.
Did you ever resolve this? |
