8OI need help on this...

We are currently making our project in school that utilizes CGI programming in GNU C++ (I use Cygwin on my PC, 'cause we use UNIX/LINUX on school). The school uses Apache Web Server, for us to run our CGIs on IE/Netscape. I've downloaded Abyss Web Server and installed it on my computer, so that I can do my projects at home. But when I run my CGIs, garbage comes out of my browser.

I'm totally a newbie about CGI and stuff about web servers and its CGI configurations, but I'm getting there. How do I configure my Abyss Web Server to run my GNU C++ CGIs on my web browser? Do I need to add more stuff (like interpreters et al. , cause I vaguely understand the Abyss Web Server Documentation) ? I'm jsut using my computer as my local host.

Please help. And thanks for considering my query.

You don't need to setup anything to run .exe CGIs (except checking the CGI Paths in order to include /, that way they can run from every where).
It depends on the garbage you receive. You should try to call your CGI with a trainling ?. For example ask for http://127.0.0.1/cgi-bin/mycgi.exe?

If you still have trouble, please send us your .exe cgi (and its source code if possible) and we will test it and tell you what's wrong.

Thank you
