|

Hello,
I am using Abyss Web Server X2 (v 2.3.2), and I am running Windows 7 x86. I want to add PHP support for Abyss, but something is wrong. I followed closely this guide: http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/php5win.html . I downloaded the preconfigured PHP package offered by Aprelium ( http://www.aprelium.com/data/php5210.exe ) and I did all the steps. When I try to access a .php file using my browser ( http://myip/script.php ) it never executes it. It remains in the "Waiting for ..." stage. HTML works, but i have this problem with PHP. Do you have any ideas ?
Thanks. |

xap,
Can you access simple PHP scripts such as:
<?php
phpinfo();
?>
If you are still experiencing problems, send your abyss.conf to the technical support team:

I too cannot get php files to run.
I followed the instructions (I think) and am running X1v2.5 with the latest dl package from this site.
Everything seems correct to me, but IE displays the text for the phpinfo screen and Firefox wants to download.

I read all posts but there seem to be no answers when people submit the config file when they have similar issues. Heres my relevant piece...
<interpreters>
<interpreter>
<interface>
1
</interface>
<file>
C:\Program Files\PHP5\php-cgi.exe
</file>
<checkexists>
yes
</checkexists>
<type>
0
</type>
<updatepaths>
yes
</updatepaths>
<ext>
php
</ext>
</interpreter>
</interpreters>
Thanks for any help. |

I also have tried to follow the PHP install instructions... and did it twice [removed the Abyss server from the machine completely and tried a second time] to no avail... does not seem to be working... tried something simple like the phpinfo() command with the same results... nada... ??? what is wrong? |

I had this problem with PHP not working in windows XP and discovered that I needed to correct my registry entry for the location of PHP. It was pointing to my XAMPP version rather than the one I downloaded from this site.
The registry key is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> PHP -> IniFilePath
In my case I entered a value of C:\php5\php.ini
You can edit it with regedit from the command console. |
