mySQL wont load after reboot of computer

i'm very new to mySQL but when i load it first it works great no problems, whenever i reset my computer and try to access phpMyAdmin it says,

Welcome to phpMyAdmin 2.9.0

Error
MySQL said:

#2003 - The server is not responding


how do i make it respond.

You need to tell mysql to load when you reboot. Add the winmysqladmin.exe to your startup folder or install the mysql service from the tray icon. If you installed the one from my tutorials it should load automatically anyway.

i installed mysql using the trustabyss tutorial. when i go to msconfig and go to services mySQL is stopped.

how would i add it to startup?? im sure i added it as a service but i duno

From Windows Explorer, just drag (using right mouse button) the .exe file to your startup folder in your start menu. Then select "create a shortcut".

If you can, go to control panel > administrative tools > services > fine the mysql service, right click and click properties, change the startup type to automatic, then click start. Reboot the pc and see if mysql loads.

well i went and it was already set to automatic, but when i right clicked and went start it gave me an error:

Could not start the mySQL service on localmachine
Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.

weird that its set to automatic and when i try manually it errors out.

Reinstall it. It sounds like its not installed right.

I had this same problem (the service couldn't be started). So I reinstalled it and it worked just fine.

it seems to had worked, thanks for all the input, i tried to reinstall it 3 times 4th times a charm
