|
|
I've been trying to figure out how Zpnale works with X2.
All the control panels I've come across have to use windows 2003 server or apache on Linux, soooooo, how can Zpanel be any different?
Under windows 2003 server, I've tried Helm, cPanel, Zpanel, and HC, but neither of then can work with Abyss X2. (I chose X2 because 2003 server is near to impossible to configure, I used to default windows settings when I installed and tested the control panels)
If someone knows of where I can get hosting software for use with Abyss X2, please post the link.
Nothing fancy like selling domain names, dns control, database control, etc etc, but by the user already puchased a domain name, and wants a hosting service with full control of their website.
Even though I am running an internal dns server (primarily for the network), an ftp server, and an email server, the hosting software must be configurable for the ftp, and email server I'm using, so that when a user creates an account a new folder with ftp access (using the same login details as the account) is created, and a new email account is also created being accessed using the inbult webmail (again using the same account login details). |

Zpanel isn't anything really good anymore. I wouldn't recommend you to use it.
The good news is that it can work. Search the forum for the tutorial.
Have a look at Webinsta File Manager |

The file manager is fine for a single folder, but what is actually needed, is a script that auto creates an account when a user signs up. E.G.
1........user signs up
2........script creates the folder using the users sign up name.
3........script adds an alias to Abyss X2 (pointing to the users folder) also using the users sign up name.
4........script creates an email address using the database tables of the email server also using the users sign up name.
5........script changes filemanager to only allow access to the users folder
That's what I'll be hoping for. :) |

You will need to do that manually or code your own scripts. It takes a good
programmer to code such an application. Sorry. |
