I was browsing and browsing this Forum for a while now. At first, I don't have any idea how to make this webserver work, but I worked hard on understanding the tutorials and everything I need to know in making Abyss work and my patience payed off, I finally did it! So, I want you guys to have a peek on my website. Hotmail is currently down right now and i don't know why so, I can't activate my domain in freedomain.co.nr, anyway, here's my temporary website address

Nice website. Well layed out. Very slow though. Took just under a minute to load everything.

Well yah. I have a slow internet connection. I even made freewebs host my GIF in the home page. Nevertheless, I like Abyss a lot! : )

If you need/want a fast website hosted on abyss, you can get cheap hosting from me at www.awshost.co.uk. There are many options to choose from. Its hosted on a dedicated server inside a proper server environment and has a 10Mbps uplink speed.

I did notice some of the images on your site looked like they were a really low quality. Not sure if that was intended or not.

I would suspect so. Gif isnt very good for high quality images as it only supports up to 256 colours. Unless your using transparancy I suggest you use jpeg. If you use photoshop or similar program (no paint) you can make the filesize as small as possible by adjusting the quality so it doesnt look bad quality.

How do you mean they dont move? As in they cant be animated? If so then this is correct. Jpegs cannot be animated.

Yah. The animated image is the only image in my site which has low quality coz I made it as small as possible for it to load faster.

I meant the title. It looks of low quality. It looks asif youve got a small image and expanded it to a bigger one.
