|
|
I installed Abyss webserver and it's running.
I created an account at no-ip.info and that works fine but i have some problems;
The webserver IS running BUT when i try to access it by my outside IP or the domain @ no-ip.info it shows me my router's config page..
Is this the port 80 issue? And how can I make it work?
Can somebody please help me with this? I'm using a router of Thomson, model Speedtouch 510 (4 ports).
PLZ!!! and thnx :) |

If the router is showing the config page when the external IP is used from a PC on the LAN side of the router, it's likely that the router doesn't support loopback regardless of if the ports are forwarded correctly. _________________

Yes, that's right. If you get the router pages when using your external IP, this means that the router does not support loopback.
So you'll have to use 127.0.0.1 to access your server locally and people outside your local network will be able to reach it using your domain name and external IP. But Do not forget to set port forwarding for port 80 for external visitors. _________________ Support Team

What the hell are you talking about?
There are 3 versions of the 510 listed on the page you were given a link to. There is no app to download. There is nothing to pay for. You have to read the page and follow the instructions. Follow the link to the default guide. Set up port 80 to forward to your LAN IP.
Unfortunately, if you are unable to read, I'm afraid we won't be able to teach you. Go ask an adult to help you. _________________

No need to start flaming. We all know that I could kick your ass in UT2004.
Anyways, sorry, I got confused. There is an app there called port trigger, and that's what I thought you said (guess I didn't read carefully enough).
But I'm still confused. I've disabled the firewall in the router cp and all of that stuff. Now I need to setup the fowarding. I go to that area, type in the app name, use UDP, port 80-80, but then I don't know what to put in the last box.
What do I fill in on the end? Thanks, that's all I need to get. |

That's not really helping your cause, I'd try a different approach to asking questions if I were you.

If the Nazis lost the war, what makes you think that being one will help you get answers?

That's not helping whatsoever, is it?
I'm sure there are lots of people here with notable achievements, but in that context, they mean nothing.
As to the topic, you'll be after TCP instead of UDP, for a start.
Then, as for the "last box", by the looks of it it's an internal IP address, to get it do:
Start -> Run -> cmd.exe -> ipconfig (For windows, *nix users would probably not have this problem.)
I imagine the address will be the one listed for "IP Address..." here, if it doesn't match 192.168.2.* then something's up.
And please god, try to be a little more courteous in your attitude. _________________
