Hey guys :)

I don't know if anyone else on this board hosts files for MySpace but I will ask anyways. I have some flash files on my server that are displayed on Myspace, which get about 1000+ hits an hour. Now, my problem is in the Logfile, only about 1% of the actual logged hits include the Remote Page URL that the Flash File is being viewed from.

Code:
//2 Normal Hits without Remote URL
24.2.175.6 - - [11/Feb/2006:18:56:11 -0500] "GET /thanks.swf HTTP/1.1" 304 0 "" "Mozilla/4.0 (bla bla bla)"
24.2.168.214 - - [11/Feb/2006:18:57:43 -0500] "GET /thanks.swf HTTP/1.1" 304 0 "" "contype"

//1 Hit WITH Remote URL
68.41.1.136 - - [11/Feb/2006:18:58:57 -0500] "GET /piccomment.swf HTTP/1.1" 200 1785 "http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=20468854" "Mozilla/5.0 bla bla bla"

Is this an issue with Abyss, or is this just something myspace somehow screens my server from logging?

This is a problem with the client requesting your flash file from MySpace. The
clients that don't send the HTTP_REFERER, are those who don't send the URLs
from another website to your log. Privacy software maybe the cause.
