I just recieved an email from announce@aprelium.com informing me that "YOU Cant Stop The Power Of Big Titz!!!!" with a big advert linking to some pron site. Anyone else gotten one of these? I would be inclined to just think it's random spam with a spoofed address, however the aprelium mailing list is one of the few sites i have given that address too. Strange......

I got it too. Personally i think that the mail server was comprimised. Outlook ain't exactly known for it's security. The title also gives away the fact that it was a hack attack. Some people just dislike good, free software. I think that they're jealous. Sad, but true.

Nice server and nice functions but CENSORED in my mail nono..
I was lucky that the moment I closed my inbox my dad came into my room
otherwise who knows I might have had some real explanation to give. |

We've been the unfortunate target of Spammers lately on this list. May we
offer our sincerest apologies for the occurrence of that posting.
APRELIUM TECHNOLOGIES IS NOT THE ORIGINATOR OF THE EMAIL YOU RECEIVED ON DECEMBER 31, 2002. Our announcement list was hacked by exploiting a security flaw in the mailing list manager software we use.
We are currently tracking the origin of that message and we will do all our
best to identify and sue the person who posted it (it seems that the email
comes from a computer connected to mslt.net: Maine School and Library
Network.) We are also in contact with the company that hosts our mailing
list. We instructed it to take steps to protect this list from further
unauthorized postings.
We hope this has in no way tarnished your enjoyment of this list or our
software. And again, please accept our apologies.
