Hi,

Does Abyss Webserver currently support Mod_Gzip Compression? I would like to install it, but don't know how to go about doing it. I have php & html files that I want to compress.

Thank you!

This feature is included in future versions but for now you can use PHP gzip compression using:

Code:
<?php
ob_start("ob_gzhandler");
?>

in your pages.

Try searching the forums!

Here I typed in "add gzip" at the Search page

Maybe Aprelium should make forum rules that users must use search before asking questions and state the results, if any, that they have got and tried. It would stop so many people posting questions answered before.

Hi,

Thank you for your help. Very much appreciated. I did do a search before posting, I must have searched for mod_gzip or something where the results didn't show up correctly, which I should have noticed. I appolgize for that one.

Thanks again!

Its OK, just remember it for the next time ;-)

I/We don't hold grudges but it can get very annoying when people repeatedly do it etc

Glad to have helped!

Offtopic:
I posted somewhere on the forums that if you post for help, you have to fill out stuff like your IP address, a desecription of the problem, and hardware you have like a router, any firewalls you have running, what OS you have ect.

That would definatly help because instead of trying to figure out the "help help abyss isnt working" posts.
