how do i correct this
i have just changed to a .tk domain name could this be the cause |

This is because another program is running on the same port, therefore the server cant listen to it.
You will need to run one of those fancy programs to find out what is listening to port 80. I cant think of a standalone one, but Kerio Personal Firewall's Overview tab does this.
http://www.sysinternals.com/Files/PortMonNt.zip is a program I just googled, try it, and kill the program thats listening to port 80, then restart abyss.
EDIT: That wont help you -_-
