richardyork,

In Linux (and any UNIX flavor) ports < 1024 are only available to the super user (root): http://www.aprelium.com/data/doc/2/abyssws-linux-doc-html/portsproblems.html .

If you want help setting Abyss Web Server to use port 80, please let us know or contact support@aprelium.com (for a faster answer :-) .)

Thank You Aprelium!

I will be getting in touch with you soon!

I've been very busy with work recently and havn't had much time to spend on the forums :-(

I have recently dual-booted my computer with Windows XP and Fedora Core 3 (I havn't used Linux in quite a while, so I thought I'd try and refresh my memory!) I would use Linux 24/7 if I could, but with college I need Windows for my C# programming!

Thank You, Aprelium!

Richard York
