ok, right now im making a website with my server, its basically done for it to be on the internet, but i cant get a domain name till i prove to my boss that it works outside of our network. Within the network, its fine, you type in the ip, it works, but outside, they get an error message.
How do i allow people to come to my website? Is there a setting i have to check, or does it have somthing to do with the ip acess controle? |

You use the WAN IP, which is your internet IP available from www.abyssunderground.co.uk/ip
Then you need to configure your router (if you have one) for port forwarding. www.portforward.com is an excellent site for helping with this. Use the options for HTTP when you come to it.
Then you go to http://your_ip and it should go to your site if all is configured correctly. If your router/modem doesnt support loopback then you will need to use a proxy to see if it has worked and if its viewable to the outside world.

You don't change your IP in Abyss.

That's your local IP. Only you can use that.
For us to see your site, you need to give us your external IP.
