I had a couple websites that I was redirecting through www.tk, they were like www.superflycanine.tk and www.novaa.tk etc... and they would point to http://1.168.1.100/superfly or http://1.168.1.100/nova but now with the new verson of abyss the adresses are like Http://1.168.1.100:1024/name which causes me two problems, one small and one big.

All my old links I now have to change, thats the small problem..

the big problem is for some reason when I register a domain with www.tk it says that a domain with 1.168.1.100:1024 in it (ip/port) is already a redirection and I have to choose another URL. Is there anyway to make my website go back to the adress of only my IP and not having to use the port as well.

thanks

Does IP's look like local one. Which means you will only be able to see them from your own computer or network. Go to www.aprelium.com/ip and get your external ip.

Hope this helps.

HIWD.

unfortunatly it doesn't help. I know what my actual IP is, I just didn't feel like posting it on an open forum so I used the local one for my example. Call me paranoid *shrug*

but yeah, I still have a problem here, anyone else have ideas?

for example...

<a href="http://www.yourdomain.com/index.html" onclick="this.port=81">Homepage</a>

when clicked, the browser then looks up the domain name and the port number is appended to the Domain name in the browser, then requests the page from your IP address & on the port it has had appended to it, if the address is a url to a page of file, it makes no difference.

I had & still have the same problem, i just found a free website hoster online & made a redirect page.

I just pointed the .TK to the Redirect page then it sends em right to my site.
