Abyss is a web server (It's in its name) so it is what you need to host a web site. Get your IP for http://www.aprelium.com/ip and tell people to connect to http://IP .

I knew abyss was a web server but did not know what I needed to connect to my site from a remote pc.

I used the link to find out my IP address, but got the following error....

Forbidden
You were denied access because:
Access denied by access control list.

Why is that??

The screen where I got my IP said something about a proxy.. To be honest I'm not too sure what one of those is.

Something in the middle (between the computer you used to browse you site and your computer hosting your web site) is blocking the connection. It may be a proxy or a router. Check what it is and configure it in order to allow incoming connections to your computer. For more information, read the second question in our FAQ at http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/faq.html .

OK I tried and took a look at the server configuration. The oaths are set as they should be.

How do I know what port I should be using. I am using default at the moment. Apart from that I can't think why else it would not be working.

Please test that your server works locally (using the address http://127.0.0.1 ). If so, you can start investigating why your network isn't acting as you expect with incoming connections to the web server. Please read the FAQ for more help.
