hi i used abyss since last year.. everything was working fine untill last week. when i bought a wireless linksys router.
i set up web forwarding to my ip:8080. set up static ip... but i still cant get people to see my site.. i need help desperately now thx
ip by cable modem is: 218.212.8.82
ip of my computer(given by the router) is : 192.168.1.102
ip by http://www.aprelium.com/ip/ : 202.156.2.138
port i using for the web : 8080
wish to hear from you as soon as possible |

What is the ip adress of your router on the 'outside' eg to which ip-address does your cable modem forward all requests? This should be the same address. Another thing to check is to which ip address your router forwards port 8080, this should be 192.168.1.102 (your server). |

cable modem ip is 218.212.0.1
ip assigned to router is 218.212.8.82
now router has a ip: 218.212.8.82
router server ip is 192.168.1.1
ip assigned to me by router is 192.168.1.102

| http://checkip.dyndns.org:8245/ to double check your IP address, if you say your set up, you should be viewing a web page without issue, if your having problems, your TRUE IP address may be being masked by an ISP proxy. |
