I am setting up a site on which authentication is going to be used. All of the account information will be stored in the 'abyss.conf' configuration file. Some users are going to be supplying their username and password when logging in. Others wish to use integrated windows authentication (their username and password are to be the same as their account in Active Directory) so that they do not have to enter this info when entering the site. What format do the username and password stored in the 'abyss.conf' file have to be in to allow this to work?
(i.e. domain\username , username.domain ,or username/domain) |

As far as I know, Windows auth and Abyss' username and passwords are two completely separate auth mechanisms - you cannot use automatic authentication with Abyss...
Windows authentication uses NTLM password hashes provided by IE to the server but Abyss uses the Basic Auth standard as specified in the HTTP RFC's. |

saucercrab,
Abyss Web Server doesn't support Windows Authentification. This feature will be added in a future release. |

Dear Admin, does Abyss now support Windows Authentication? I have tried to get the authentication to work but to no avail. I have added :-
<authentication mode="Windows"/>
to a .net 2.0 application. |
