|
|
Hello,
Download.com are now hosting files on their servers instead of providing a download link to the software site.
As a result, we received today a complaint stating that Abyss Web Server file was not downloadable.
We did some tests, and results are very bad. After 10 trials, we were able to download Abyss Web Server package 2 times only.
So can you please do the test on your side and let us now if this problem is only local or general.
Abyss Web Server download.com URL: http://www.download.com/3000-2165-10079200.html (click Donwload Now)
Thanks. _________________ Beta Testing Team

100% failure
Have you tried using MajorGeeks or Web Attack now known as www.snapfiles.com, never had an issue with downloading from those site, download.com has a bad rap for files that are not available, stale links, uploaded trojans and all other crap like that. |

Actually, we don't need their hosting service. Abyss was always hosted on aprelium.com and download.com linked to it. But starting from yesterday, they changed their policy and "forced" all the files to be hosted on their servers (without even providing a rescue link to our site.) => Stupid decision from their techies and a lot of problems for us and our users. _________________ Beta Testing Team

Download failed to show up , it may be caused by the redirection script or by
the millions of people downloading files on download.com every day. I think
download.com should do things the old way like they've been doing. |

It seems to work fine now. Apparently, they have fixed their HTML code. _________________ Beta Testing Team

Starts download from the first click. Even in 8kb/s connection.
There is no problem here. |
