I am new to this kind of thing.
Today i have installed MySQL , phpMyAdmin , php 4.3.7 phpbb2 with language pack ( french ) and i have added the imagevue gallery to my site and everything is working fine.
I must be mising something very simple here till the nex problem , but now i am getting this error
Failed sending email :: PHP ::
DEBUG MODE
Line : 234
File : C:\Program Files\Abyss Web Server\www\phpbb2\includes\emailer.php
This happend when im trying to create a new user.
Any idea ???
Anyone can help me. Ive read some topics around and it says to put in the smtp server in the administration page of Phpbb , same problem

| i got that error too. Its probabli yu dont have a SMTP serv. Or yu configured it to off ( meh) . I get this error all the time. It doesnt really matter tthat much bcuz the user is still created |

Will the user see the error message on his side ???
If yes , is there a way to desactivate this e-mail option. ????
How is it working exactly ??? User create his account and a e-mail is trying to be sent to the Site Admin for confirmation ???
Does the smtp server need to be running on my side or is my ISP on good ? |

ive found that for now ...

As a username for Sympatico user , they use B1.... but i saw in the tutorial that for the username it shoud be a e-mail adress , is that correct ??
So i should put in my smtp adress in there instead of the th B1 number ??
my smtp is : " smtp1.sympatico.ca "
Do i have to edit my php.ini file as well ??? |

Yes, edit php.ini, locate the line that begins with smtp= and replcae it with:
