HELP ME -> WEB SITE TRAFFIC?
My site is online for 2-3 months. But nobody is visiting my site?
One or two visitors per day is the maximum? My site is indexed in altavista, yahoo, google,info.com,and msn probably.
Where is the problem? Why yahoo for example have so much hits per day - and my site only 1 per day! There is something more than html, meta tags, design and so on? What is that? Any idea?

People have to *want* to visit your site.
The site has to be worth visiting.
The site has to be worth coming back to.
Judging from your use of a hugely oversized font, I think you're having trouble with part 2.
It would have helped if you posted what the content of your site was, or at least gave a link to it. |

The only way to get many visitors to your website is by letting people
and friends know your website address and have them refer your
website to their friends & family , since im in the forum alot and let
people know my website , I get at least 50 visitors per day and about
1,000 hits a day. Now thats the secret to getting visitors & searches.
Let people know the website and make it look
nice , thats how google gets recognized. |

Frst off, make it so that your site appears on your fourum replys and what not.
And, what is your site address?
Like other people said, your site has to be useful. Such as I'm makeing a Linux download site. But the worst thing you can do is start spamming it through email, cause then no one will go to your site, because they will think you are annoying. _________________ Fedora Core is the best OS that exsist today.

you have internet, so you must have some ISP assigned web space...
I would add an index.html page to your ISP assigned webspace, all ISP's give a small amount of web space as part of the sign up deal, many dont inform users but if you ask, you should find a measly 10 Megs at least of 'Free' web space for your use...
The meta dat within the header should be chosen carefully and words should not be repeated, thsi can get you listed as a spam site as will any keywords you choose that are nothing to do with your site content, example, dont use a keyword like mp3 if you only have pictures to download.
You will only need to add meta data to that page, your index.html page can be made to auto reditect to your web server if your hosting yourself. The reason for doing it this way is because your ISP will index the page in their web space and it gets added to the search data on their servers, that then propogates through the internet, you then have a website thats referenced and indexed in a matter of days, you wont need any money or have to pay anyone, this is how you get listed in search engines on the internet for free!.
Thats exactly what I did with my girlfriends web site and in web searches her site is within the first 10 sites (depending on search engine and scope) but not bad for nowt.

A tyypical list would contain the name of the site, what your product or service is , the name of the service, features, etc and it is important that the list of keywords matches the content of your web site. |

When you make meta keywords, don't use commas, therefore any of the words can be combined together giving you more possibilities. _________________ Bienvenidos! |
