I have a good use for Abyss.
Abyss powers my webhosting control panel. Since it doesn't support virtualhosting, I have chosen to use it for this specific purpose.
Because it is light, and fast. It supports PHP/Perl/ASP/Python. It works prefectly for me.
But it still lacks in some areas.
My main site is Powered by IIS.

Yeah, the Abyss keeps on doing that...
I'm in the middle of rebuilding my network ATM.. So there are server request delays and all that other garbage...
Abyss seems to be dropping connections and stuff for no reason sometimes... |

That's 20 New Zealand dollars.
That equals about 12.50 in US dollars. |

Well in New Zealand hosting prices are even more expensive for what I offer... In fact, in New Zealand, there is only me who offer these features...
Oh and because of logs.... Those how I come to my conclusion, it sometimes doesn't pickup connections.... I mean, seeing as you can access my site and not the controlpanel... Logically you'd think that... |

Yes, that is true... But you have to remember about competition and stuff like that in New Zealand is different from that of over in America...
We got companies charging more or less for the same services.. I know that we may seem over priced for you folks overseas, but over in New Zealand it is alot different....
Ou services are targeted at New Zealand market, where cheap hosting with alot of features does not exist. Hosting with alot of features cost alot over in New Zealand...
I remember not to long ago, I had a website hosted for a client with there ISP, was paying $90+ (plus tax) a month, for 200mb, on a standard UNIX hosting plan that you can get from US host for $10 or cheaper!
Every country hsa different markets and are use to seeing different things.. In New Zealand there are only a handful of hosting companies, where as in the US there is 1000 times as much as there is in New Zealand...
So what I'm trying to say is, over here it's more like a monopoly.. Even registering your ccTLD in New Zealand is monopolized.. I mean, who ever you register your domain with, you have to have it hosted by that company..
So do you guys get what I am saying and why my prices are like that? I mean, I am looking at lowering the prices, but until such time.... |

Yes, it's all about supply and demand. I would say if there aren't a lot of hosting companies, now is the time to start. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

Yup! It sure is! I'm only running beta servers right now...
Trying to build a secure and stable system for people to use...
All that site is just advertising and all that rubbish...
Prices are only indicative, they will not be the real price once the services has been officially launched... As you can see, some parts of the site are still down and need to be created... |

Good luck with the business. If I lived in New Zealand, and I wasn't hosting my own website, I would definitely check yours out.
Of course I don't live in New Zealand, and I do host my own website, and New Zealand only has like 4 hosting companies, so... oh well... hehe. _________________ Bienvenidos! |
