the front page loaded ok, but Im sitting here still waiting for the main when i clicked enter . :? I stopped waiting after 2mins..

That's a very nice looking site you got there. Not too flashy. It loaded just fine for me.

Ok, criticism time...
Cut down the filesizes of your images. I noticed that even your thumbnails are a little
large. Thumbnails shouldn't be more than 10-12k in size. The wallpaper ones are fine.
Also, you need to specify a background color for your index.html. I don't think you wanted
it to be grey, which is what I saw. (depends on the visitor's display settings)

Overall, a very nice layout. :wink:

Foxified- thats a bit of a worry that the main.html took a while to load.....must be the connection here as we have been having some problems. I am on a 512/512 connection so speed *in theory* isnt an issue. Will contact my ISP as the page is a straight html page with two images on it!

Moxxnixx-just to clarify, the index page you are talking about is the very first page, yes? (sorry, every folder on my server has an nidex page in it- Im abit anal and keep my htdocs folder very neat and tidy....... maybe too organised!!LOL).
I assume the thumbnails stuff you are talking about are th photo's? Yes, they are abit big but Im trying to get a php solution for images going but am having troubles with the myqsl side of things oSX is not playing well)
The photos are the next thing on my list to work on after the mysql issue........

really really really slow. Also errored the first time O clicked on enter site....was succesful on second attempt...but all very slow.

Hmm, that is really starnge but thanks for the heads up nokiahackman.
I really dont know why its so slow for some (its loading in nice here in australia according to the few friends of mine who have looked at it for me..
I do have a sdsl connection (512/512) so speed shouldnt be an issue.......
Looks like my weekend work hasnt finished!!

the flash is only a 16k swf file so that shouldnt slowing it down any........and Ihope its not the server.........
oh well. Back to the drawing board

ok it works great now loaded in 0.6seconds :) maybe sometimes ur connections lags (provider probably) alot of "white spacE" have to have it open to full, lots of "spacious room" ;)
anyways , nice flash.
*when i go to wallpaper, I love the buttons with the blue highlight*:D

Yeah- I've been told to cut back on the size of the screen but.... its too hard to do (ie Im lazy). Thats why everything is centered or to the side so it *should* fit......... it looks great on my 14" screen so I dont know why it doesnt work on others :)

Thanks for joining up. Look forward to seeing you around the board.. once I get the mail server going that is - might have to wait until I get a larger drive in the server (only a 5 gig drive at the moment- am waiting for a 30 gig which should arrive next week!!)
Will work on the photo's in the next week- have much better ones than the blurry ones onsite (just had a look at them and didnt realise how bad they were)

Loads fine for me. I like the simple professional layout; very clean.

Yeah, I was thinking about moving the text below the counter but havenot done it yet (I believe in "warning" ppl about monitor resolutions and what technologies are prenet in the site hence the text)
