HNT,

We recommend the following article:
"Making your site accessible from the Internet"
http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/articles/x1-server-access.html

and also the answer to the FAQ question " People cannot connect to my web server. What can I do?":
http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/faq.html#A1-2

If you are still experiencing problems, send your abyss.conf and a description of the exact steps you've executed to the technical support team:

Thanks for the replied and the information,

I have tried all the step and it still didn't work

I have an other webserver it works with public IP or domain, so I know that my router is woiking properly,

Do I need to setup IP access option or virtual path for doc folder?

Thanks

HNT

The default config is to allow all IPs and all folders, did you change the config ?

Please send your abyss.conf and a description of the exact steps you've executed (including you web domain and IP) to the technical support team:

I have problem with access web from port 80.

When if I have set webserver to 80 then it doesn't work even when I use internal IP from a workstation on network.

If I set it to 8000 and access by http://mydomain:8000 and it work

1/ Please check you abyss console, if you find an error message "listening problem", then you have another instance of Abyss Web Server already running on your computer.

But in some case, this means that there is another application on your computer that is already using the port you've configured Abyss Web Server console to use. (You cannot for example set Abyss Web Server and another web server with the same port !!)

You can use CurrPorts (<http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/cports.html>) in Windows and the command (netstat -t -l -p ) in Linux to see what ports all running processes are using.

2/ If you don't find this message, then your Firewall is blocking this port, try to check its settings.

Dear all,

My old server can run on port 80, that means my ISP is not blocking the port

and I am be able to access it (new server )locally or from Local network with port 80 so there is not port conflict.

But when I access from outside world it doesn't work.

Even though when I turn off the old server or unplug it from network and use the same LAN IP for my new server

What do I put on the hostname? Is it local host name or my domain name?
Thanks

We suggested you to check your firewall configuration (if you installed one), did you find some restrictions in the settings ?

The host name is generally a pattern such as *.mysite.com
