Abyss Web Server X2 (v 2.9.0.1)

Hello,

I have an "old" windows2000server with Abyss

Now want to migrate ALL abyss configuration to a new 'windows7', and shutdown my windows2000server.

Is it possible to have a configuration backup ?

Thanks.

Waca.

Hello waca--

Yes, I did this a few (5?) years ago and made the jump from W2000 to Windows7, completely hopping over XP. It was really not hard, not the Abyss part. I also was upgrading my box at the same time. Reinstalling MySQL was a little more complicated.

If I remember correctly I simply copied *everything* that was in my server installation files, which I had as C:\webserver and created the same folder on the new box, .i.e., C:\webserver

Then, I ran the Abyss installation .exe and chose "upgrade." Bang! It worked easily. If you are changing from 32 bit to 64 bit, I am not sure what if any changes you might need (I had installed windows 7 as 32 bit so I could still run some older and unrelated program files.)

But yes, it is not only possible but quite easy...at least it was for me.

Regards,
Axis

Axis' reply is correct.

The official procedure is listed in http://www.aprelium.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=270737#270737.
