Hi all! I just signed up for no-ip.com and I wanted to know if anyone could help me with this:

Host Type:
DNS Host (A)
DNS Host (Round Robin)
DNS Alias (CNAME)
Port 80 Redirect
Web Redirect
IP Address:
Allow Wildcards:

What do I pick? I was thinking of choosing either DNS HOST (a) or Port 80 Direct...but I'm not sure if 80 is blocked, which comes to my next question:

How to find out if port 80 is blocked or not?

Thanks,
Nate

when you start up the console read the log, if the port is blocked it should tell you in that log.

Ok so if I am at the main console page, and then go to Server Status and it says that it's running, this means that port 80 isn't blocked? (In Server Configuration I have it set to port 80).

Thanks,
Nate

yes if the server is running then the problem probably isnt your port, if you are running xp try disabling the firewall and check that your isp allow incoming traffic via port 80

BTW MSX do you visit pgamers forums :?: im just wodering cuz theres somone called nate there

Yep I sure do...they just put up v4 but I haven't re-regged yet. I've going to PG for about 2 or 3 years now =P. Also, my name at PG is MSX too lol.

BTW - There wasn't a problem, I was just asking what option I should pick before I set up no-ip.com account :).

So I should just pick DNS Host (A) right?

Thanks,
Nate

30.sytes.net is what I regged along with 3 more (just in case).

Now when I go to http://30.sytes.net it doesn't work! "The page cannot be displayed"...so what should I do?

Thanks!

EDIT: I'm going to try to change the port to 81 then try IP redirect on no-ip.com...will update in a little bit!
