Yeah I am a complete computer virgin. I think I put up the majority of this website/blog in an hour without really any skills whatsoever. I just visited the tutorials section of this forum and followed instructions. Abyss > Apache.

Not too bad. It usually takes me days to build my site what with photoshop and all. I like the 404 error page and what not. The blog page aint too bad either. The overall layout on the main is a bit dull though, maybe you could add a bit of color.

haha i have no photoshop skills :(
maybe i'll eventually learn something to spiffy it up
what's all this about stylesheets? I mean what languages do i need to learn to make websites look decent? (the blog is just movable type...not my coding) |

A style sheet... w3schoolsHas a tutoiral on them. To build a webpage. Well, all you really need is HTML. I could make good site with just HTML. But it can't do certain things that say PHP can do. User mangment, conntect to databases, ect. HTML is what makes the site look how it is (images, links, ect), and scripts like Javascript and PHP add interaction and features. For my sites, I use HTML, CSS (stylesheet), PHP and mysql (database), and Photoshop (for images).
