Hello TRUSTpunk,
I can understand your reasons for not using Abyss and I sympathize.
But, as a former user of Xitami, I'd like to inform you of a couple of issues.
You may or may not already know about these:
 http://www.securitytracker.com/alerts/2003/Nov/1008265.html
 The administrative and FTP user passwords are stored in a clear text file named
"xitami.aut". The filename should be changed in defaults.cfg or by accessing the
WBA security menu. If a remote attacker is so inclined, and knows the name of
this file, he may be able to download it from your system and access the server.
In my opinion, Xitami has the potential to become a nice web server, but
(like most software) it needs some work. |

I've also used Xitami for a short while, however i was unsure if it is still in development, as the website looks fairly archaic....Anyone know the truth of this?
Cheers |

TRUSTPunk,
Thank you for your support. We understand that you are waiting for the new features and we aplogize for the time it takes. But we prefer spending more time to deliver a good product rather than release a half-tested one and make users feel unsecure when running it.
We focus on stability and security first. Version 1.2 for example contains some of the features (APX for example) that were already designed for version 2.0.
We are really working hard to make Abyss better. But this takes time.
Sometimes we wished days were 48 hour long :D _________________ Support Team

I always say "Those who aren't loyal shaln't have time spent on" meaning ..if you aren't loyal to something you like...leave and never come back..because you aren't worth the time.
I don't care if your coming back, i just believe in loyalty, unlike the rest of the world..which seemingly destroyed the meaning of anything someone could bring up...lets say.."Trust". _________________ Thank you all. Aprelium most importantly.

I have to agree with Deledar that Apache is better than Xitami. Xitami never worked on my PC, but Apache did. |
