I'm taking an MS access class and i find the whole idea of databases very facinating to me.

I'm a pilot and I i keep a flight logbook on excel now.I was thinking of converting to an access database.

If i do, can i have it incorporated in my website with abyss webserver?I want to be able to get on a computer in the airport and go to my website and add logbook entries through the website...

Is this possible? Has anyone done this?
Thanks
Noam

you could do this a couple of ways but will need some programing such as ASP or PHP in order to connect to a database, write and read information to and from the database.

Your best bet is to check out some simple programing sites.

I prefer ASP so I'll give you some links that are useful to beginners:

http://asp101.com/

http://www.learnasp.com/learn/

I'm sure others can point you to PHP resources....

Hi noamkrief.

mcwilliams is correct and since I prefer PHP, I found this small "how to" on
connecting to access database with PHP scripting without having to modify
the database to MySQL:
http://www.devshed.com/Server_Side/PHP/PHPandCOM/page6.html

Hope that helps a little.

Also, here's something from my bookmarks that has alot of general tutorials
for ASP and PHP:
