Is there any way to password protect directories? I have used JanaServer and it was good but Abyss fits my needs better. Now if I can just password protect directories it will be the perfect server.

If there is not a way then will version 1.1 have the ability to password protect directories?

Thanks

Version 1.1 will include a full password protection mechanism with users and groups. So please visit us often to download it when it will be available (in less than a month starting from now).

Thank you.

That's great can't wait to get version 1.1.

Is it possible As with Apache to say AllowLocalAccess so that that you can deny everyone to a directory but scripts (php) can still access these files?

If you want to do that, the better is to put that directory out of the web space.

You know if you realy need access use a php script to give a security header at the top a virtual directory listing.
