I am currently using Abyss x1, which is awesome. I have also installed mysql 5.1.40, PHP 5.2.11, and PhpMyAdmin 3.2.3. I have taken care of the config.inc.php, but when I try to browse to phpmyadmin it just shows the index of the folder. Will not actually open and run the actual admin part of it to log into the database.

I did follow the directions on Abyss Underground for setting up my cofig.inc.php. If you need a copy of it I can post it here if that will help.

It seems that during the php install procedure you skipped the following instruction:

Declare new index files
Select Index Files.
Press Add in the Index Files table.
Enter index.php in the File Name field and press OK.

Here is the install procedure:

As a suggestion, I would turn off directory listing. That can be quite a security risk, depending on the content and file structure of your site.
