I was running PHP 4.2.3 and was getting a lot of problems with error 500, so I decided to upgrade to 4.3.1 as suggested by the forum, but still get the problem. I was also getting a problem with crashes, so I disabled the logs and am running Abyss as a service using FireDaemon which will restart it if it stops.

With the error 500, sometimes if I stop and restart the server, it will be ok for a while but that does not always solve the problem.

Any assistance would be appreciated as I don't want to go to Apache!!

Thanks

Upgrade to the latest Abyss Web Server version 1.1.6 and use the latest stable version of PHP (4.3.3).

Isn't this going against your warning in the sticky at the top of this forum that advises NOT to use 4.3.3 sine it is buggy??????

If you read this thread until the end, you'll see that version 4.3.3 was fixed by PHP guys and that it is now usable without any problems.
