im a noob, but i got my phpbb forum, to the install page, but when i push summit, it says....

do u even hav ms sql
if u dun hav it get mySQL
then on the install page select mysql 3.0x or 4.0x which ever u dloaded
blah blah blah...
the rest will take care of it self

if u hav zonealarm allow mssql to access and serve internet
