HI guys,
I am trying to install cutecast.
on a windows98 machine.
A devolper of cutecast said it was possible. see the thread on the artscore forum
He recommends to install apache... but I am already (happily) hooked on Abyss ;) And hope I do not have to change to apache :(
I already installed active perl
and I can get the initial cutecast.pl to run the setup, filled in al info.
When trying to save it I get in my IE window: 500
In the cgi-logfile I get:
flock() unimplemented on this platform at ./lib/ac_lib.cgi line 576.
PLease help me out!!
Denniz
Ps:
On the artscore forum my nick is EZEL (the one with the rotating head)
And i'm trying to install cutecast version 2.02 beta
Cutecast works with perl and cgi, nothing more nothing less...

Installing Apache won't help you with the flock() issue. Indeed, some operating systems (such as Win95/98/ME) do not implement flock() and ActivePerl can't do anything for that.
The only workaround is to open the source code of the script and to comment or remove the lines where there is an flock() statement. _________________ Support Team

park,
You should search for all flock() statements in .pl and .cgi files and comment them. _________________ Support Team

well I got it running smoothly,
but i can't get a good sendmail clone running :-/
I'm now running blat,
I have a smtp server, but it needs authentication and password (and is set to a strange against port sniffing/scanning)
But I can't get it right!!!
I installed it into cutecast and seems to recognize it, but i get this error:
Code: | Blat sending message result = -1 : Failure Content-type: text/html |
anyone any idea? |
