Sorry but i'm a bit new to this..
I have black ice installed on win xp pro sp1 and i'm wanting to run a web site from my desktop,
1> Will blackice stop visitors to my site? (There will be no Downloads etc., Just page viewing)
2> Is there a better security measure i can take?
iv'e followed the instuctions from http://www.dslwebserver.com/ and they suggest using a firewall but i'm affraid no-one will be able to access my site.
I know this seems a bit lame but i'm a bit confused when ity comes to using a firewall.
Thanks |

Abyss Web Server will deny all know web server hacks.
Now, for the answer about the question regarding BlackIce, we recommend visting its web site http://blackice.iss.net/ and asking their technical support about it. _________________ Support Team

I'm running Abyss on my home desktop PC, behind both a router (D-Link DI-704P) and a software firewall (Kerio Personal Firewall). Access to the Web site (http://genechan.homeip.net) by the world at large works fine. (I have a problem accessing the Web site from inside my own LAN, but that's another story.) Go for it! _________________ Gene Chan genechan@vcn.bc.ca
