next time, do not delete your question. if you managed to solved it, put the solution here. other people might face the same problem in future. now they have to ask again, and you might not return here to help them.

Hello,

The reason I deleted it was because the question was kind of lame and something that everyone probably already knows. I was hoping they would remove it all together. However, in case there's someone that doesn't lknow this, I'll mention it here. Be warned..... it's a pretty stupid question. :-)

I was going to ask the following......

There are certain environmental variables that exist, such as AUTH_USER. When I call a CGI program, how do I send that particular variable with it to the CGI program?

The solution was that I don't have to send it. It just automatically is available to the CGI program. I don't know how or why, but they just are.
