Okay, after troubleshooting a million different settings:

Background: Had significant problems when the script connected to multiple different scripts all at the same time. For example, I have a gallery.php page which loops through getphoto.php?id=XX script that contains GD image code (to pull thumbnails for images).

Also, I have several desktop apps that utilize a "get URL" call to multiple different php scripts I have which pulls data from the web.

If there are multiple calls to external scripts on one php page, Abyss just hangs using the Named Pipes setting for php.

Change the setting to CGI/ISAPI and Abyss is blazing like there is no tomorrow.

Just thought I'd share.

I had trouble finding this one. If there's really no other calls to php pages, and the page is relatively simple (like connects to the database and displays data, then the FastCGI setting works fine.
