Hi,
I am having problems logging into phpmyadmin. I have recently installed phpmyadmin version 3 and MySQL community server (from http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.0.html) on my PC running windows XP. I have Abyss Web Server X1 (v 2.5) running. I have followed the advice on http://www.abyssunderground.co.uk/installing-phpmyadmin.php (though I note that applies to PHPMyAdmin 2.8.0.3). I have also simply run the ..../phpmyadmin/scripts/setup.php on earlier attempts. Following the abyssunderground advice, logging on as suggested (with username root etc.) it's returning http://localhost/phpMyAdmin/index.php?token=<omitted> which manifests as a blank screen. (Note that I get a blank screen whatever I type as username and password). With the earlier attempts (with setup.php) I get error #1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES). Any help will be gratefully appreciated. I simply want to create a database from scratch and get a website running on my localhost to interact with it. Should I be downloading a different version of MySQL?
