Hi, I'm using Abyss on a 2k pro box because IIS limits you to 10 simultaneous connections. I was later told by someone who has built many more sites (LAN, WAN, www) than I have, that 2k pro, and any Microsoft workstation OS for that matter, are limited to 10 connections. That's 10 concurrent connections from your LAN and your external WWW site, 10 total no matter where they're from. he also said the only way around it was to install any version of Server.
So I was wondering how true it is that this limitation is built into the OS and if Abyss accepts more that 10 simultaneous requests?
thanks |

10 connections is an IIS limitation and not an OS one. With Abyss (even on Windows95/98), you can set the maximum number of simulataneous connections your server can handle to any value (>10). _________________ Support Team

IIS is limiting your concurrent connection. Try Abyss to set more concurrent connection. Make sure your box can handle more load. _________________ CapFusion,... |
