I got everything to work,
1. Abyss
2. PHP
3. MY Sql
4. PHPadmin
But i cannot get a damn mail server to work so i can run my phpbb, i need a full tutorial like the ones in these forums for my sql and php, please someone help, i need full directions for one mail server like argosoft cause i heard it was good, please help. Thank you

Hello candymang187,
You really do not need the overhead of an smtp server like argosoft in order to get the mail function in phpBB working.
Simply open an account with a POP3/SMTP provider like http://www.hotpop.com and then write down the user, password and SMTP server.
Go into phpBB administration and enter that information at the bottom of the manegement screen. Click use this SMTP server (or something like that) and you're sure to get it to work...
I've done the above step for friends and it works everytime. Good luck

Yeah VBGUNZ , helped me set my PHPBB BULLETIN , it does work and you can find my forum @

It didn't work because your PC died... It didn't work because the phpBB files have a virus attached... It didn't work because the PC with phpBB is not online...
You have to tell more than "it didn't work" in order to have us understand your problem a little better, otherwise if it doesn't work it will never work and you're in a word, helpless.
This is the phpBB number 1 problem... The sendmail feature and the number one fix for it is to enter your own user, SMTP and password information but if that doesn't work you're really in a odd bind. You will have to bring this to the attention of phpBB at http://www.phpbb.com
In the end an SMTP server *just* for phpBB is predicted to be a big headache on configuration and maintenance, etc. Good luck :)
