I have two servers- one linux, the other Abyss X1. I had used the X1 for prototyping yet I would like to connect the two so that I can have both on the same router and with two domains-one each. Of course they would be sharing an IP Address. How do I create a means to forward one url to one machine and another url to the other? _________________ Media is a terrible thing to waste. |

The easiest way is to run each server on a different port and have each
of those ports forwarded (by the router) to their respective machine IP.
For example:
www.domain1.com would be running on Linux (default port 80).
www.domain2.com:8080 would be running on Abyss (port 8080).
The only way to have both on the same port number is to have 2 IP addresses,
1 for each machine. |
