With the new version of PHP, MYSQL, and PHPMYADMIN, is somebody going to provide tutorials on how to install these.
The newer version of PHPMYADMIN will not work with older versions of mysql.
That is the reason why I am asking. |

The tutorials on www.abyssunderground.co.uk are all compatible with the current versions and explain which versions are not compatible.

I am having a problem attempting to use the mysql package that is available on abyssunderground.
When following the directions in your tutorial, when I get to the root password, I enter a password and click next, it then starts the stuff where it installs a service and I get an error:
access denied for user root@localhost (using password:NO) |

I am not sure what to suggest except that you try to re download it or try v4.0.24
