I'm not sure why, but I've really had some extreme issues lately with my sites.

I can be working on one, and reload the page. Next thing I know, it just shows up blank. So, I go to another one of my sites, reload that page, and that's blank too. I'm using X2 v2.5, so each site is in its own directory. So I think it's either Abyss or PHP (I'll put my bet on PHP).

So I go on my server, and look at my processes running, there's 7 to 10 "php-cgi.exe"s running, all at 9,144 KB, with one at 141,xxx KB. So, I close all the instances of php-cgi.exe, and try reloading the page again, nothing.

I restart the server, and I'm still getting issues.

I decided to install PHP 5.2.5, and I lost my "imagecreatefrompng()" function, and an extensive list of .dll's were missing. I figure screw it, whenever I try to upgrade my PHP, I always have tons of issues.

So I uninstall v5.2.5, and reinstall 5.1.6. I also reinstall X2 to be on the safe side.

Now the pages seem to be working (before the majority of errors wouldn't show up, it would either ignore them, or show a blank page, now it shows the "header output already modified" errors, and other small errors)

Problem I'm still having is that the imagecreatefrompng() function (and the one for GIF and JPG) aren't working.

Anybody have any idea how to get these working again? I've read the Image Functions page on PHP where I have to comile with a GD library...I never had to do this before, so I have no idea if I just get a DLL and copy it to the /ext/ folder, or what I'm supposed to be doing...

Thanks for any help.

So....Just ignore that...

I found my PHP516 Preconfigured Package Installer, installed that, and the image functions all work great again...

However:
Does anybody know why PHP kept crashing?
Does anybody know if PHP 5.2.5 has a preconfigured package too?

Thanks for the help.

No, but Aprelium has a (not officially released) 5.2.4 package: http://www.aprelium.com/data/php524.exe

Your other package might have lacked the GD extension.

Yes, otherwise my server info image in my signature wouldn't be working right now. ;)
