I have about 5 websites created which all have domain names, I have set the dns records and ran a chache refresh and the dns has resolved the domains to my ip address but for some reason only 2 of the sites load when I browse, the other 3 come up error 404 server not found, I though this server could handle more than 2 hosts on the same ip and port 80, I've read everything in the help files, im not behind a router and my firewall is turned off, how is it possible to run all 5 of my sites with their domain names ? considering that in the help files it say that it is possible, I need for this to work, if you have any more info than the help files provide please for ward them to me, im kind of in a rush to get this done and have spent enough money on domains and couldnt be arsed to deal with apache server besides abyss webserver is quite sufficient other than this problem.

Thanks a bunch.

If only 2 of the 5 work then check the settings. Abyss is cable of running infinite amounts of sites. I run 20+ myself no problem.

Few questions for you...
1. Are all of your sites ran from port 80?
2. Restart your computer and ping each of your sites. Does the correct IP address come up for all 5?
3. "The other 3 come up error 404 server not found" -- Is that a 404 error or server not found? The HTTP status 404 indicates a web presence, but the requested page does not exist on the server.

kungfuen,

Since you seem to be a customer of X2, please send your abyss.conf file to our priority technical support http://www.aprelium.com/support/priority . Do not forget to give us the URLs you have tested for each site and which ones gave you a 404 error.

We'll review the configuration and suggest a solution.
