I cannot access my site through using a redirection... www.lafamiliaboswell.cjb.net

The index page loads ok.. However, some folders are accessible, some folders are not.. and I cannot load photos... I'm not exactly sure what is the problem. Is it in the way I have something set in the console?

I'm using a cable modem.. do I need to have a router? Do I need anything special in order to get this to work? I am running Zonealarm, the program permissions are set for all access. Is Zonealarm interfering?

I'm quite new to all of this.. any help would be welcome!!

1. Do you have a dynamic IP which changes all the time or do you have a static address?

2. Is your ISP blocking port 80 (web server port)?

3. Are you running XP? It has its own internal firewall in which you'll probably have to allow access to port 80.

4. Are you pointing to the right IP or to a network IP? Network IPs usually start with 192.168.*.* or 10.*.*.*

5. You can not use 127.0.0.1 or http://localhost/

6. Did you allow unconditional access to port 80 through all firewalls? Go to http://www.securitymetrics.com and check to see if port 80 is closed, blocked or stealth... If it is chances are your ISP is blocking port 80.

If they are blocking port 80 go into the abyss console and change the port to something high like 8000 or above. If you change the port you'll have to add it onto the end of your IP.

It might look like this: http://65.12.64.128:8000

7. Is Abyss running fine? Is it stopped or halted?

8. Good luck :)

I eventually figured out that XP's firewall was blocking port 80. Also, Zonealarm had something to do with the issue of browsing the site itself. I simply allowed usage of port 80 and killed ZA. Thanks vBgunz!
