I have done the following steps as instructed:
i.e.
Download ActivePerl from http://www.activestate.com/Products/ActivePerl and install it.
Open Abyss Web Server's console, select Server Configuration then press Advanced... and select CGI Parameters
Set CGI Processing Enabled to Yes.
Press Add... in the CGI Interpreters table.
In the Interpreter Path field, enter the path of the perl.exe executable file. If you have installed Perl in C:\Program Files\Perl, enter C:\Program Files\Perl\bin\perl.exe.
Enter pl in the Associated extensions and press OK.
Press Add... in the CGI Paths table.
Enter / in the CGI Path field and press OK.
Press OK in the CGI Parameters dialog.
Select Server Parameters.
Press Add... in the Index Files table.
Enter index.pl in the Index file field and press OK.
Press Restart to restart the server.
then I try to put the files of a apeboard into the cgi-bin file, I access to it, however, it just download the apeboard_plus.cgi, instead of execute it, why? |

Does apeboard count on CGI explicitly?
eddyhk wrote: | Enter pl in the Associated extensions and press OK. | Also try entering cgi in that field separated by a space. In the end that field should look like this [ pl cgi ]... Also if it does count on cgi explicitly do this. eddyhk wrote: | Enter index.pl in the Index file field and press OK. | Also put in an index.cgi
Good luck :) _________________ Victor B. Gonzalez

Thank you very much. It really execute the cgi now(I think), however, it display an error, which states
"flock() unimplemented on this platform at (eval 1) line 1. - LOCK FILE ERROR!!$uselock = 0 "
What is the problem? |

Not sure. You will most likely have to take the exact error to the creators of the script. Just tell them you're using a server which supports, perl and cgi and this is the error you're getting... Good luck :) _________________ Victor B. Gonzalez
