Hi, I am going to install php on windows for abyss. I want to have the most featues for php. But what version do I download? The installer or the .zip version. I also heard that the CGI version is limited to what it can do comapared to the version I have on my UNIX machine running Mac OS X?

http://www.php.net/downloads.php

I know how to install it but I do not know which one to use.

The zip version contains the CGI version of PHP (the one that works with Abyss Web Server) and all the available PHP extensions. The installer version contains the CGI PHP version and the MySQL extension. It is useful for almost 90% of all the popular scripts.
Regarding the limitation of the CGI version of PHP: there is a little overhead in comparison with the module version (which is by the way not yet stable.) Apart from that, there no other limitation we know of.
