Ok, since I stared with abyss, my website was a little baby, now it is doing quite well, www.italiansunited.co.uk a nice portal for Italians in London and I love running it of my fast ADSL connection of my own dedicated server with Abyss.
Here is the Dilemma!!
Sometimes my ADSL line can go down for an hour, 2 or more.
I have looked at loadbalancers for multiwan on the market, but it seems to be more for the local user, as there does not seem to be a way to run BGP4 of a single ip.
As I am getting a second ADSL line installed, I wanted to hear if anyone knows how I could bundle the lines so as not to have downtime, as one line is with BT and the other is a LLU with Easynet, so diverse routes.
(by the way, I work in a major hosting company so I should not really be hosting from home  however it does give you the opportunity to learn a lot more!! and I do recommend Abyss to those that are scared of Apache on Windows, my previous experience was a Cobalt, and abyss was an easy --- very easy transition) |

I use cable broadband and its very very rarely that it goes down, so if you can, it would be worth going for Virgin Media broadband through a cable, if it is in your area. Otherwise I don't know what to suggest since I don't know how to get it to go through the same IP or get it to update to a no-ip client etc. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

sabvr,
If you have two connections to the Internet, you have two external IPs. So you could use DNS to solve the problem: just set your domain italiansunited.co.uk to be associated with both IPs ( see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Round_robin_DNS ).
Most modern browsers will try to use the second IP (or the subsequent IPs) returned for a domain name if the first seems unreachable. _________________ Support Team
