Hi
Since upgrading to 2.4, my stats are sporadic, in the sense, usually it will measure the correct numbers, but sometimes, it will say just 2 users have been on my site on the day, when it is infact a very active website with constant users on my phpbb forums, does anyone else have the same problems, it seems as if the log files are not writing correctly.
Thanks

sabvr,

Check you logs manually. Do they contain the usual amount of information or are they referring to two users/IPs?

All the data in the logs seem fine, yet AWstats brings this out:
03 Feb 2007 169 5355 19504 115.34 MB

05 Feb 2007 234 27742 52042 256.69 MB
06 Feb 2007 179 8477 22849 108.70 MB
07 Feb 2007 243 23285 41441 161.26 MB

10 Feb 2007 212 20799 37800 140.97 MB
11 Feb 2007 213 28962 46011 138.43 MB
12 Feb 2007 288 28203 51525 173.42 MB

14 Feb 2007 2 3 38 204.69 KB
15 Feb 2007 126 5592 15720 76.48 MB
16 Feb 2007 34 2261 5072 31.13 MB

You may need to force AWStats to update its Log information. There's a feature with it that allows you to force AWStats to the most recent log.

do you mean the "update now" button on the browser, I have done that, thus why some days it shows the correct number, other times it does not.

Granted this happened after the 2.4 release, but it could be a problem with Awstats, do you or anyone have any advice on other webstats software that can run on XP with Abyss.

Apart from that, the problem from 6 months ago of lots of PHP scripts running has disappeared with 2.4.

Upgrade charges with Abyss are worth every penny :-)

I'm not really sure why this is happening. AWStats should work fine with any version of Abyss Web Server. Which interface Are you using? CGI, FastCGI, or ISAPI?

What type of FastCGI are you using? Is it (Local - TCP/IP sockets) or (Local - Pipes)? I know these are weird questions. You might want to try using CGI instead to see if the problem fixes.

Go to the Host Configuration you installed AWStats on, and click on "Scripting Parameters", now go to the Perl Interpreter settings and edit the FastCGI by changing it to CGI/ISAPI.

Most Perl scripts support only CGI. Very few support FastCGI. AWStats is CGI only.
